Introduction to the currencies Empty Introduction to the currencies

Lun 16 Juil - 14:21
Hi everybody! You've probably noticed in the presentation of the server, that we are talking about a unique economy system. You are then entitled to ask yourself, "but what does it consist of?" and it is besides the objective of this post that to explain you how it works.

I.

CONTEXT

This idea is based on an observation we made on Ragnarok private servers; there is an eternal moral war on balancing between PvP players and PvM players. One only has to see the eternal debates on the Battlegrounds and the rewards attributed to them as well as on the potential difficulty or proven to drop certain objects at low rates or in large quantities.

So, we thought to ourselves why not create a system in which everyone finds an account? A person who only wants to have fun in BG should have the right to do it, conversely a group of players who prefer the PvM and whose very idea of beating each other repels them, should also be able to do as they wish . Finally, the slightly more casual players who have the habit of spending their time chatting in town and participating in events should also find their account.

To do this, we have introduced a new currency here: Introduction to the currencies Rune_c10 and its small name is Rune Coin . It is this currency that will be the only intermediary between Battlegrounds, PvM (Instances), and Events.

Before going any further, let's present the different trading currencies for each game body.

II.

INTRODUCTION OF EXCHANGE CURRENCIES

Introduction to the currencies Badge10 The classic Battle Badges you will get by participating in Battlegrounds. They will be used mainly to buy consumables of all kinds only usable in so-called Battlegrounds, as well as the purchase of Gym Pass and consumables HP & SP for the WoE.

Introduction to the currencies Shards10 The Shards of Potential, a little less classic, will be obtained by fighting in the multiple instances of Rune Midgard. They will be useful to you, after transformation (detailed in a future guide), to increase the chances of deslot with no failure, as well as for certain Hats quests. In their pure state, they can still be exchanged for various crafting items.

Introduction to the currencies Ticket10 The Event Tickets, a little more classic than the second but a little less than the first one, can be won at the different events offered on Rune-Midgard, whether they are automatic or organized by the Staff. They will be used mainly for the admission of the players in the highest level instances, the purchase of certain costumes but mostly, for unlocking the dungeons via the Warper.

III.

EXCHANGE SYSTEM AND COURSES
The Buttons, the Shards and tickets are redeemable against Rune Coins through the Coin Trader as follows:     Introduction to the currencies 4_m_ch10
( i )Note that it is also possible to sell Rune Coins against other currencies, note that only Rune Coin are exchangeable between players.

However, the different currencies of exchange do not all have the same value in Rune Coin, it will be necessary for example more Badges than Tickets for the same number of Rune Coin, this is easily explained by the fact that it is easier to have Badges in large quantities than Tickets.

In addition to having a different value, and this is where it becomes interesting, we have created a three-valued course for each of the currencies we call high, gross and low. When a lot of Badges are present on the server for example, but there is a shortage of Tickets, then the Tickets will be expensive (high value), the Shards will keep their initial value (gross value) and the Badges will not be worth much. thing (low value), to illustrate my words, nothing like numbers:

Introduction to the currencies Course10

The numbers in the table represent the fictitious values of each object, which one could imagine in percentages of Rune Coin where 1200 = 100%.

Let's take the example above: The Event Tickets have a gross value of 400, which means that it will be necessary to exchange 3 for a Rune Coin (3 * 400 = 1200). However we saw that there was a shortage of Event Tickets whose value then goes to 600, then it will take more than 2 to get a Rune Coin.

Conversely, Badges are present in too large quantities! It seems logical then that their value in Rune Coin drops. Originally, it was necessary to exchange 120 for a Rune Coin, but given the global stock, it will now be 200.

Finally the Shards keep their gross value, being neither the object in less quantity, nor in bigger.
( i ) Naturally, these quantities are weighted in the calculation of the NPC, because it is normal that there are more Badges or Shards than Tickets on the server.

This is the end of the explanation on currencies, feel free to post after this topic if you have questions or comments.

Sigyn.

Introduction to the currencies Empty Re: Introduction to the currencies

EDIT : Changes in exchanged rate aren't smoothed over 3 values anymore, but over an interval of values, limited from X/(5/3) to X*(5/3). If we take the badges example, you will need from 72 to 200 to get a Rune Coin (limits remain almost the same), depending on the market. We do think that this system will me much more intuitive and less tricky. (I still let the original explanations in the topic speaking about the 3 values exchange changes, considering that it popularizes well enough how the market works here.)

EDIT2 : A tax was added as you sell Rune Coins for other currencies in order to "nerf" trading, thus preventing a potential inflation.
